Décembre, dates à venir
Noël à Avignon, c’est une histoire de labyrinthe, avec des propositions ludiques des associations et des commerçants, autour de contes, de nombreux marchés de créateurs et d’initiatives tous styles pour fêter l’Avent en donnant bien entendu la priorité aux enfants. Noël c’est aussi le rêve, la poésie, la découverte, l’imaginaire… avec de nombreux spectacles, parades et concerts qui animeront les week-ends, transformant ainsi la ville en scène de lumière.
Folklore et traditions ne seront pas oubliés avec l’installation de la crèche au cœur de l’Eglise des Célestins, le village des santonniers et des traditions provençales. Le Palais du Roure dévoilera à nouveau aux visiteurs  la crèche provençale et son petit peuple de santons  et la traditionnelle table calendale du gros souper de Noël...

The Christmas Season in Avignon 
Christmas in Avignon… it’s the story of a maze, the story of lots of fun events proposed by shopkeepers and associations, tales and markets featuring creators’ work. Initiatives of all kinds to celebrate Advent and make way for children, the priority.
Christmas also means dreams, poetry, discovery, imagination… There are several performances, parades and concerts scheduled for the weekends, transforming the city into an ongoing sparkling stage.
Folklore and traditions are also part of the Christmas celebrations. At the Church of the Célestins, the Christmas crèche will be on display. There too, the santon-makers village will go up, an important part of local heritage. At the Palais du Roure local historians welcome visitors and explain the crèche and the traditional Provençal Chritsmas table and “gros souper”, answering any questions.
